My work explores the connection between emotion and the natural world through large-scale acrylic paintings.

Working from my studios in Bend, Oregon, and Los Angeles, California, I create pieces that invite viewers to experience the exuberance of life through layers of color, texture, and movement on the canvas. 

My paintings fall into two distinct but connected bodies of work.

One celebrates bold color, expressive abstraction, and dynamic composition with rich texture capturing the energy, power and awe of pure exuberance.

The other draws inspiration from the profound strength and  beauty of the natural world.  With a more neutral palette, these paintings reflect the calm, quiet connection between us and the earth. 

I am drawn to the tactile quality of mixed media, layering each piece sequentially to capture intention, spontaneity, and energy. Every mark, texture, and color choice contributes to a visual conversation between what is seen and what is felt. Working on a large scale, my paintings are meant to be experienced as much as viewed. Each piece is a moment of personal, subjective connection - whether through vibrant emotion or the quiet reflection of our world.
